An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to work for this successful company in Peterlee. Reporting to the Financial Controller, your duties will be as follows:

• Responsible for the management accounts
• Reporting accounts to Group and highlighting any issues
• Dealing with all year end processing
• Responsible for tax, VAT and any issues arising with HMRC
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Variance analysis
• Preparation of monthly accruals and prepayments
• Responsible for managing the team

You will have worked in a similar role and ideally be working towards an accountancy qualification. Excellent IT skills are essential and some interest in system implementation would be advantageous.

This is a great opportunity for the right person and the aim is for the role to transition to a Financial Controller within six to nine months.
