Part Qual Accountant

Salary: £30000 - £35000

Location: Durham

 KCR Solutions are delighted to be assisting our client, a manufacturing company based near Durham in their search for an experienced Part Qual Accountant.

Responsibilities: 
  • Producing monthly reports figures and statistics
  • Supporting the Financial Controller in production of the end-to-end monthly management accounts.
  • Production of monthly accruals, prepayments and journals
  • Supporting of the month end and year end processing procedures
  • Daily posting of the bank statements and reconciliation of banks in line with cash management procedures
  • Liaise with third parties including banks, HMRC, auditors and other stakeholders
  • Prepare and submit Quarterly VAT Returns
  • Purchase, Sales and Nominal Ledgers
  • Creation of weekly supplier payment run
  • Undertake any and all other duties as the business requires, in line with the responsibilities of the role, as may reasonably be requested from time to time
  • 37.5 hour week  
 
Person Specification
  • At least  years’ experience in a similar finance role is essential
  • AAT Level 4 qualification or working towards CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualificati
 
Knowledge and Skills 
  • Excellent customer service skills are essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good numerical skills are essential e.g. the ability to work with ratios, percentages, and understand business-critical measures e.g. direct and indirect costs, margin, turnover, profit etc.
  • Experience of using ERP systems preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team is essential
  • Ability to remain self-motivated and to conclude work to a high standard especially when faced with challenges is essential
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • Good attention to detail and quality in all aspects of work is essential
  • Good interpersonal skills are essential
