Group Management Accountant
Salary: £50000 - £55000

KCR Solutions are delighted to be assisting our client, a global facilities management company based in County Durham, in their search for a Group Management Accountant.
The post holder will be fully responsible for the monthly management accounting of the UK head office companies
You will also be involved in the managing of the Group management accounts consolidation on a monthly basis and preparation of the year end statutory accounts. The role is also to support the Group Finance Team in the accurate provision of information to the Board as well as other stakeholders.
You will be a key member of the Group Finance team, reporting into the Head of Financial Reporting. The Group Finance team provide controllership, financial forecasting and planning, tax planning and compliance, treasury, internal audit and other support to the entire Group.
Principle Accountabilities:
Responsibility for the preparation and submission of the monthly accounts of the head office companies.
Preparation of the Group quarterly VAT return and other compliance.
Financial systems development, maintenance and management.
Play a key role in respect of the Group’s statutory reporting requirements.
Support in the preparation of the Group Annual and Interim Reports
Preparation of subsidiary financial statements
Liaise with auditors throughout the audit process.
Support the annual budgeting and subsequent forecasting exercises particularly at a Corporate level.
Person Specification:
High calibre ACA/ACCA with experience of dealing with key internal and external stakeholders.
Strong IFRS and plc experience is essential including involvement in preparation of statutory reporting.
Be a strong self starter with a strong work ethic and proactive approach; is results orientated and takes ownership of workstreams and drives them to delivery.
Strong technical ability and confident communicator.
Capable of communicating both orally and in writing with all levels of staff and management both internally and externally.
Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
Experience with group consolidations and multi-entity reporting.
Knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations
