KCR Solutions are supporting our client, based near Morpeth, in recruiting an ambitious Part Qual Accountant to join their small and collaborative finance team. This role is ideal for someone studying AAT / ACCA / CIMA, but candidates who are qualified by experience are also encouraged to apply.

Working closely with the Finance Director, you will help deliver accurate month-end reporting while also providing cover for transactional finance duties when required. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone positive, engaging, and eager to learn and progress.

THE ROLE

• Support month-end production including journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and preparation of management information.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Provide cover for transactional duties across purchase ledger, sales ledger, bank reconciliations, and general financial administration as needed.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal processes and controls.
• Support audit preparation and help meet all internal and external reporting deadlines.
• Work alongside the Finance Director on ad hoc analysis, projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.

THE PERSON

• Studying AAT / ACCA / CIMA or qualified by experience.
• Experience in a finance role with some exposure to month-end processes.
• Strong accuracy, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
• Confident with Excel and comfortable learning new systems.
• Positive, proactive approach with a desire to develop professionally.

Salary up to £42,000, depending on experience.
