Management Accountant

Salary: £43000 - £50000

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

KCR Solutions are delighted to be working with a dynamic, expanding company based in Newcastle. The ideal candidate will be a newly or part qualified Accountant with previous experience in a similar role. Reporting directly to the FC and managing a team of 3, you will be driven and self-motivated, with good working knowledge of Excel.  Your duties will be as follows:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Preparation and posting of month end journals and related account reconciliations
• Gathering and analysing financial information and preparing reporting pack
• Supervising and assisting 3 direct reports
• Preparing monthly PAYE/NI and company pension scheme returns
• Responsible for quarterly VAT Returns
• Payments to statutory bodies i.e. HM Revenue and Customs
• Supporting with the preparation of schedules and draft statutory accounts
• Assisting with the production of budgets and forecasts as required
• Supporting your team to ensure purchase and sales ledger processing deadlines are met in order to meet management accounts deadlines
• Assisting in clearing up account queries and unallocated cash
