Senior Accountant
Salary: £30000 - £35000

KCR Solutions are delighted to be working with this growing firm of Accountants based near Gateshead, in their search for a Senior Accountant.
You will assist in the smooth running of the Accountancy Practice and report to the Practice Manager.
You will be responsible for your own portfolio of Clients and maintain suitable accountancy records, this will include planning of workloads and hitting deadlines.
The Senior Accountant will be a key member of the Practice therefore have exceptional business and communications skills.
Key duties of the post are as follows:
- Production of Statutory Accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies
- Preparation of Tax Returns – Corporation Tax and Personal Income Tax
- Preparation of R&D grant claims
- Support to Assistant Accountant re production of VAT and Bookkeeping records
- Maintaining Cloud-based software systems for Client records
- Establishing and maintaining Good Client Relationships
- Training and managing workload of junior members of staff
The Person
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in a similar office role – essential.
- Good computer literacy, great attention to detail and well organised.
- Advanced level of literacy and numeracy required.
- Flexibility – ability to react and respond positively to changes in priority and workload.
- Ability to work using own initiative as well as being a team player.
- Ability to multi-task, good time management and work well under pressure.
Hours of Work
Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm with a half hour lunch break; and Friday 8.30 am to 2.30pm with half hour lunch break.
